VADER Confirmed For POLISH WOODSTOCK 2003
June 11, 2003Veteran Polish death metallers VADER have been confirmed for this year's edition of Polish Woodstock 2003. The event, which ranks as Poland's biggest festival and one of the biggest open-air events in the world, drew an estimated 200,000 people last year.
VADER will hit the stage the evening of August 1 and will have their entire set recorded and broadcast via Polish TV. The group, who have a new EP coming out this fall (tentatively titled "Blood"),will also film a video clip for an as-yet-undisclosed track at the gig.
VADER will embark on an extensive tour of Poland in September. The trek, which will include support from DECAPITATED, FRONTSIDE and VESANIA, will probably kick off on September 7 or 8 in Warsaw and will be consist of 15 shows. Among the cities to be covered are Warszawa, Bialystok, Lublin, Kielce, Rzeszów, Tarnów(?),Kraków, Katowice, Czestochowa or Opole, Lódz, Wroclaw, Leszno or Zielona Góra, Poznan, Bydgoszcz or Torun, Gdansk & Olsztyn.
